Layered under this short-lived joy is a massive trunk of everything I’ve always wanted to get rid of, everything I never want to be reminded of, everything I never wanted or will want at all, that gets re-opened every time I come back here. It takes efforts to nail it down again later.

Celebrations

We, as humans, are forever looking for reasons to let go of everything and celebrate, right? Celebrate with lessons taught to us by life, to help better ourselves for whatever reason we’re here for or plainly put, maybe just to puff off the undesired tension around. I, like most people, love celebrations. This practice of acknowledgement, of appreciation, of loosening up, does things to our otherwise overworked and crippling spirits.

As much as I fear expressing myself, I was equally ‘gratefully disgusted’ by 2018. To pen it down in mere words, 2018 was a year of utter chaos vacuuming out every inch of everything in me, while at the same time managed to convince me to believe in “Zindagi na milegi dobara".

As I prepare to unwind after a day’s long struggle to conclude the plain nuisance of daily routine beyond my doorstep, something in me triggers utter stillness and coldness. Pursuit of X

There comes a time in all our lives where we meet someone and we are just beyond amazed. Everything about them screams "Woahh"! This is a tiny piece on one such friend of mine, who I co-incidentally stumbled upon in high school. I unlearned and learned so much from her over the course of many years we remained friends.

Perhaps

As someone who has been battling with anxiety all her life, basic activities stand as major struggles to me. It drains a lot of my already drained energy. In those moments where I hesitantly yet quite reflexly swallow words that were supposed to be heard, I sink a little deeper and loathe myself a bit more than the moment before. This inability to function around people like a normal person for once, it is killing me.
